While each entity has its own likes and dislikes, there are some general care guidelines that you can follow, regardless of the species of your companion.

Firstly, always find out what your charge likes. The seller should be able to tell you; if not, you may reconsider, as everyone should be able to get to know the creatures that come to them. Otherwise, how can they know what they're selling at all? It is important to know their likes and dislikes. If you get an entity, and it doesn't seem like they're responding positively to what the seller told you to do - change it! Sometimes people make mistakes, and sometimes they change their mind. Why not dragons? Or unicorns, or gargoyles?

Try to make sure that your entity has something around its vessel that it likes. Submerging a vessel in a small bowl of water might be good for a water dragon, or growing a small garden for a unicorn - these are just examples. Treat your companions how you would want to be treated. They are friends and don't deserve any less.

Second, try and take care of the vessel. The vessel is a grounding object; it helps tie the entity to this world. It gives them somewhere to rest and rejuvenate themselves. You wouldn't want a ratty old bed if you were in some strange world, would you?

Neither would they. Make sure that you keep the vessel clean; wipe it down occasionally, and make sure it stays free of dirt. Polish it sometimes if it's metal. Keep it in good condition; if it gets cracked or damaged, try to have it repaired. If you can't, try to find another vessel that they like.

Unlike what some people claim, vessels are not permanent. However, it may take a while for the entity to get used to the idea of a new vessel, so be sure to offer it to them slowly. Don't try to force them into it or throw away the old vessel. You should be able to feel them in the new vessel when they begin to inhabit it.

Finally, remember to respect your charge. You are responsible for them as much as they are responsible for you. Never try and force them to do anything and never be cruel. You may run them off, as very few entities will bind to a contract if the other party doesn't hold to their own responsibilities. (The main exception may be a gargoyle.) Please don't treat them like objects; they are not and never will be. Give them the respect that a living thing deserves.

One thing that I, and more than likely you, have noticed is, quite frankly, there are as many opinions about the paranormal in this world as there are people. A lot consider this a bad thing, as there’s no set consensus on everything; you can’t just go and read one

I thought it might be a good idea to keep a blog. It seems like a popular thing to do, and I’ve always enjoyed journaling. That being said, I don’t know exactly if I’m going to be blogging about topics only relevant to the main subject matter of TTM (The
